The use of a PVC leak control flange to suit pipe sizes 50mm, 65mm, 80mm and 100mm is to provide a drainage passage of sub-tile moisture held in the tile bed as a requirement of AS 3740.
Leaching is a condition where efflorescence ooze out of the joint between ceramic tile veneer, regardless of the veneer is grouted or not, and runs down or spreads over the tile. We refer to Leeching as: The leeching/emission of a re-emulsifying membrane bleeding and discolouring grout.
A rock of sedimentary origin composed principally of calcium carbonate (the mineral calcite), or the double carbonate of calcium and magnesium (the mineral dolomite), or some combination of these two minerals.
In finished installations, lippage refers to the condition where one edge of a tile is higher than an adjacent tile.
