A concave or convex curvature of a tile so that the surface is not perfectly flat.
Coating or sealer applied to the surface of concrete, masonry, tile or a porous material surface to repel water.
The property of a system or material that restricts moisture movement and not degrade under conditions of moisture.
A vertical extension of the waterproofing system forming a barrier to prevent the passage of moisture in the floor.
Moisture existing as a gas in air.
The property of a material that does not allow moisture to penetrate through it.
A combination of elements that are required to achieve a waterproof barrier as required by AS 3740-2004, e.g., substrate, membrane, bond breakers, sealants, and finishes.
An area within a building supplied with water from a water supply system and includes bathrooms, showers, laundries and sanitary compartments. Excludes kitchens, bar areas, kitchenettes or domestic food and beverage preparation areas.
